About:

When you listen to Over the Rhine, the supremely talented wife-husband duo of Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler, you quickly fall under the spell of Karin’s compelling voice, ethereal and earthy at once, and then you notice their subtle, satisfying arrangements, all the instruments so exquisitely balanced, and finally the lines of the songs start hitting you. Paste Magazine praises their “lovely, heartbreaking, and ultimately uplifting musical mosaic.” The Washington Post applauds their “understated, country-tinged charm.” The Wall Street Journal describes their album, Meet Me at the Edge of the World, as “subtle and elegant, with airy musical arrangements and breathtaking vocal harmonies that fit the title of the album.”

Daniel Daniel

Daniel Daniel is currently finishing up production on his debut record set to release in 2018.. Working with multi-grammy award winner, Mike Piersante (Adele, The Civil Wars, T-Bone Burnett, Elton John, and O Brother Where Art Thou), and Producer Matt Williams, Daniel teamed up with drummer legend Jay Bellerose (T-Bone Burnett, Bonnie Raitt, and BB King) bassist Jen Condos, (Stevie Nicks, Ray LaMontagne, and Ryan Adams), pedal steel players Eric Heywood and Russ Pahl (Bob Dylan, Blake Shelton, and Kenny Rogers). Daniel has crafted a beautiful set of songs that showcase his versatile and warm vocals, memorable melodies, and a simplistic approach to arrangements.

Speaking about inspiration for his record, Daniel says “I took a break from releasing music and just did a lot of soul-searching," “I didn’t want to rush the process of making a record and I knew whenever I released new music, it would have to be right.”. In addition to a new record, Daniel is already hard at work on his next project “I have been demoing new material and feeling really inspired. I caught a bug while recording this latest project and I am just trying to ride that train as long as it will take me.”

The Daniel Daniel's record is expected to release in early 2018.
