After first finding acclaim as a member of the Steve Miller Band, American classic singer/songwriter Boz Scaggs went on to enjoy considerable success after going solo in 1968. An accomplished guitarist and a multidimensional singer Scaggs came truly to fame in the 1970 with his landmark pop album Silk Degrees. He is well known for timeless pop hits such as "Lowdown," "Lido," "Jojo," and "Look What You've Done to Me" from the Urban Cowboy soundtrack. Scaggs owns the San Francisco nightclub Slim's, and he and his wife grow grapes in California's Napa County, producing their own wine as Scaggs Vineyard. Scaggs released his 17th studio album in 2008 - which is his second collection of American jazz standards collection - entitled Speak Low and tours in a number of different genres, including a bluegrass band, a jazz combo and as the Boz Scaggs Band performing his greatest hits.
