Seven time ARIA award winning songwriter and composer David Bridie has enjoyed a distinguished career as one of Australia's most innovative and elegant artists. With a strong emphasis on indigenous and traditional music, Bridie has certainly stamped his mark as an international soundtrack composer, producer, lyricist, leading expert on Pacific music, and a uniquely Australian songwriter and singer.

At first inspection, his most recent solo album 'Succumb' is a startling departure from David's previous solo recordings. It's more lean and direct, almost abrasive for its confronting guitars and urgent rhythms. But listen closely and familiar signatures abound; lush, textural beds of intricately layered and densely overdubbed sound tapestries.
