$30 AT THE DOOR - The official afterparty for the Istanbulive: The Sounds & Colors of Turkey event brings together the groove-heavy Brooklyn Funk Essentials and Husnu Senlendirici for the first time since 2007. Released a decade ago, their now-classic album In The Buzzbag was a landmark fusion of Eastern motifs with funk, reggae, hip-hop, Latin and acid jazz. The event will once again display the innovative, eclectic funk of the Brooklyn Funk Essentials - now with added flavors and spices from Turkey. They have played to hundreds of thousands of fans in Turkey, and sold equal amounts of records there, and will bring back the funk with Husnu on their home turf. This event will sell out, getting tickets in advance is highly recommended.

This show will also celebrate the release of Brooklyn Funk Essentials' latest album Watcha Playin'.
