Session # 1 - 02/08 - Viticulture and Vinification

This session will introduce you to the vineyard cycle. Topics covered include:

*Recognizing and identifying grape varieties

*Viticulture methodology

*Grape ecology and maturity

*Harvest practices and preparation

*In addition you will also be instructed in the basics of wine appreciation and tasting. A variety of different wines will be served to highlight key points of differentiation.

The course is structured at an introductory - intermediate level with a moderate amount of technical detail, but sufficiently accessible for novices. Class size is deliberately kept small to give all attendees equal opportunity.

Each session will feature a variety of wines, and attendees will be supplied a course book comprising notes from the sessions.

The classes are packaged as 5 linked classes for $325.00 ($65.00 each). Separate classes may be purchased for $90.00 per session.
