Continuing with his hugely successful sold-out residency Joseph Arthur plays City Winery on Friday March 5th with the White Buffalo.

Every show in the residency showcases the eclecticism of Arthur’s song writing and has seen Arthur joined by a host of highly talented musicians. This show will be no different.

Arthur has toured with the likes of R.E.M., Ben Harper, and Gomez and has had his song “In the Sun” covered by Chris Martin of Coldplay and remixed by Justin Timberlake. A painter, a soloist and collaborator Arthur’s prodigious talents prompted Peter Gabriel to personally sign him to his record label, Real World. He is smart, surprising and infinitely rewarding, constantly stirring the imagination. Arthur toured extensively in Europe and Canada in 2009 and has had his 2006 release Nuclear Daydream re-issued. His first studio album since 2008’s Temporary People is due in summer 2010.A prodigious talent, Arthur’s songwriting has sharpened the focus of his creative expression on his latest project.

The White Buffalo is quite possibly a legend in the making. A throwback to the time of hard touring, hard drinking artists who really lived what they sang about. Everything about him is big, from his imposing physical size to his amazing vocal range. He’s as comfortable playing in a dive bar as he is in front of thousands in a European arena. With only an EP out, but literally hundreds of songs written and more coming all the time, the future is exciting for a guy who has that much raw talent.
