Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the grapes of Burgundy, are famous for expressing the climate and region in which they’re grown. La Crema, owned by sisters Laura Jackson Giron and Jennifer Jackson, focuses on crafting Pinots and Chardonnays from Sonoma’s cool-climate regions, but you may be surprised to discover how vineyards within Sonoma can yield such distinctly different styles.

Melissa Stackhouse is a Renaissance woman, and La Crema’s dynamic young winemaker. She drives a red '94 Ford F150 pickup, has tilled the soil on organic farms in New Zealand, studied French Art History just for fun, driven delivery trucks for Kinkos and tour buses in Alaska and studied with some of the best winemakers in the world.

Melissa will guide us on a tasting of La Crema’s entire range of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, offering insight on the varied micro-climates of Northern California. We’ll also taste La Crema's top of the line Nine Barrel Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, special cuvees from the top nine barrels in each vintage which are available only through their mailing list.
