Description
This high-elevation vineyard site is owned by Marlene Cerchi and Art Havenner, a UC-Davis professor. Stagecoach Vineyard is to the east and Stags Leap AVA is just to the west. Aiken loam and red-rocky volcanic soils define the vineyard. This is a soulfully farmed and managed operation with a holistic approach to sustainable farming.
Wine Style: Wines from the Oakville Hillside Vineyard, where Cabernet is planted, exhibit a dense purple color, tightly-knit structure, and extraordinary concentration and richness.
