Marc Cohn has put his feet back on Beale, walked out of Memphis and into SoHo. The 1991 Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist Award, Cohn survived a carjacking and recovered amidst the pain and squalor of 2005's Hurricane Katrina, which brought his velvety smooth voice crackling back to life. "And these songs weren't polite about their sudden presence either; they insisted on being written," said Cohn. This rude re-awakening culminated with the production of "Join the Parade," an alternately blues, rock, and pop album produced with Charlie Sexton released in 2007. If the wine in our barrels isn't sexy enough, the vibrations from Cohn's chords will certainly do the trick.
