Charity Wine Auction For Haiti
Posted: 01/15/10
City Winery to host Charity Wine Auction and Dinner to raise an additional $25,000 for relief efforts in Haiti
So far we have raised over $75,000 for relief efforts in Haiti. The four nights of concerts were a huge success and we thank the artists, volunteers and those who attended. Our recipients are listed below and they continue the important aid missions so desperately needed.
•Partners in Health
•Doctors without Borders
•Jewish Renaissance Medical Center
In order to reach our stated goal of $100,000 we are conducting a Charity Wine Auction & Dinner, Monday February 22nd. There will be both a silent and live auction, dinner from our regular menu and entertainment from the Haitian rara band Djarara. All proceeds will be donated to the three charities listed above.
We are charging a nominal fee of $10 to secure reservations and the entry proceeds will be donated directly to Djarara, who have suffered terrible personal losses. Your entry fee guarantees you a seat, includes a welcoming glass of wine and the auction materials. Please purchase your tickets here

Our friends at Riedel have graciously donated a number of their decanters for those winners who choose to open and enjoy their wines at the auction. Winning bidders are encouraged to partake in the true enjoyment of their winnings. Bid on some great wines, open them and share with your friends.
To inform and assist the buyers, guest sommeliers including Jean Luc Le Du and Natalie Tapken, will join City Winery staff to give input and history on each of the wines to be auctioned. More guests will be announced in the coming days.
If you have an auction worthy wine that you would like to donate for this worthy cause, please email Michael Dorf directly HERE
