Tenute Lunelli Wine Dinner - 2/9

at City Winery New York City

9:00pm (Estimate End Time)

General Admission

Join us for a three course wine dinner pair with beautiful wines of Italy from Trentino & Umbria, carefully created by the Lunelli family. The dinner will be lead by two amazing wine professionals - Desiree Leja of Palm Bay International & Brian Cronin, MS, National Education Manager for Palm Bay International.
With the winemaking experience of three generations behind it, the Lunelli family has decided to cultivate in greater depth its passion for producing outstanding wines by adding to the success obtained by its Ferrari Trentodoc with a range of top-quality still wines, made by three wineries in three different Regions of Italy: Tenuta Margon in Trentino, Tenuta Podernovo in Tuscany and Tenuta Castelbuono in Umbria.
Comparing themselves to “artisans of time” who wait patiently for their grapes to ripen on the vine and for their wines to mature in the dark depths of the cellar, the Lunelli Estates have chosen to represent their new identity by resorting to the symbolism of the phases of the moon.
If any company is honor-bound to act responsibly at a social level, this is even more the case for a wine producer, whose relationship with his terroir is profound and indissoluble. With this conviction in mind, the Lunelli family has made sustainability its creed. The objective of this approach is to combine top-quality grapes with the health of the vine-growers and protection of the environment.

Brian Cronin's Bio:

Master Sommelier Brian Cronin began his wine career in Raleigh, North Carolina. After studying biology in college, Brian realized that he wanted to make wine. However, it was his exposure in restaurants to wines from all over the world, and his growing passion for wine that made him want to learn everything that he possibly could. Brian then went to work as sommelier in some of the top restaurants in the country. He has been the wine director for Charlie Trotter's, Gary Danko, and Aqua. Brian is a very active member of the Court of Master Sommeliers and has also been an elected member of their Board of Directors. Brian's diverse career in the wine industry has helped him build his philosophy of fresh, funny and informative education that he now uses as National Education Manager for Palm Bay International. Brian devotes much of his spare time to running marathons' for charity with the American Cancer Society. In 2016 he ran all of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, which are Tokyo, London, Boston, Berlin, Chicago, and NYC marathons for charity - one of only a few people in the world to accomplish this feat.  Best thing about the race..."Finishing, eating great food, and drinking great wine! But most importantly it is about the people that benefit from this wonderful cause."
