Wine is made in the Vineyard
This axiom has become a cliché, given the hundreds of decisions required of the winemaker after the harvest. But it is true that premium world-class grapes require meticulous viticultural practices to make great wine. The great winemaker M. Chapoutier said "to make wine is 12 months of work in the vineyards, 1 month in the cellar."
We are establishing relationships with a number of premium vineyards for the 2011 harvest. Over the next several months, we will continue to update the list with detailed information about each vineyard, the grower, the soil type, the other wineries who source from the same grower, and other key information to help guide you in your choice.
