Barrel Ownership is Affordable at City Winery

City Winery, located in Soho's Hudson Square, is Manhattan's first winery in 40 years. Beyond offering members the chance to make their own private-label wine, City Winery is also a world-class wine bar, live music venue and private event space. This state-of-the-art, interactive, educational and social space is the place where wine enthusiasts of all stripes gather to taste, network and enjoy the exclusive benefits of being part of Manhattan's dynamic new wine community.

City Winery offers individuals the chance to make their own barrel of wine with hands-on experience in all facets of the winemaking process, from the initial crush of the grapes to creating their own blend and private label wines. We also produce and serve delicious house wines from the grape varieties that we source from several of the finest vineyards in the world, from Bettinelli in Napa to Hyland Vineyards in Willamette Valley, Oregon.

From the moment the grapes are picked, we take careful measures to insure the integrity of each harvest. We transport the fruit in 30lb bins, refrigerated at 36-degrees all along their journey to New York City. Once in Manhattan, we invite our members to participate in both our Fall and Spring Crush events, de-stemming the clusters of grapes as they ride the conveyor belt to our stainless steel tanks where they ferment before being pressed and stored in French or American oak barrels, as selected by our members.The wine is closely monitored by our winemaking team through development and aging to achieve the perfect profile. All members are invited to assist and explore each step of the winemaking process throughout the term of their membership.
