In these very challenging times of reopening our economy and specifically, the ecosystem of live music, we are carefully balancing the safety of our customers, staff and performing artists with the issues of privacy and freedom which we in our democracy cherish. Our number one mission is to create a safe, comfortable, and ideal setting for the live performance of music, comedy, or any art on our stage to their fans. We care about the lighting, the air-conditioning, the sight-lines, the exits for egress, the fire suppression systems, the quality of the food, the service; everything that goes into making the two-hour experience of live entertainment as magical as possible. We want people to feel comfortable. At this stage in the pandemic, with the remarkable roll-out of vaccines and the overwhelming numbers of our audience now fully-inoculated against COVID-19, we are in a position to create an environment that is as safe as possible moving forward. Our initial survey from our April shows indicate that 93% of the customers were already vaccinated before attending the show. This is very good news.
Given this, our decision to move forward with creating an environment where we request all of our patrons to be vaccinated will allow even more psychological comfort for all that our facility is as safe a place to be as possible. Of course, we respect that if a person does not want to get vaccinated for any reason, be it religious, health or other, they can get tested showing a negative result to gain admission. Between the Excelsior Pass and Clear Health Pass, we will be trying to make it as easy, seamless, and friction-free as possible. Hopefully, this temporary system will facilitate the end of this pandemic and horrible bit of history for our world. It has been devastating for so many, including us in the live performance world. Accommodating this policy, leaving all politics out of it, will allow artists to earn a living again, our staff to be employed, and the arts to have a place in our society again.

Effective May 9th for all shows over 100 capacity, all ticket holders and restaurant patrons will temporarily have two options for demonstrating they're eligible to attend an event or indoor dining at City Winery
1.  You must be fully vaccinated, which means the day of your event must be at least 14 days after your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or at least 14 days after your single dose of the Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine.
2.  Have received a negative PCR test within the three days prior to the event date.  Confirmation required through CLEAR app, Excelsior Pass or physical copy from healthcare provider.
To expedite your entry, we offer pre-arrival health screening and Vaccination confirmation through CLEAR  or through the Excelsior App  Expedite your entrance by downloading the app and filling in your information prior to arrival, bypassing the in-person vaccination confirmation and health screening and go direclty to your seats after temperature check. Download the CLEAR APP , enroll for free and Enter Guest Code  CWNYC57 to complete your Vaccination confirmation and  health screening prior to arrival
All other guest's will need to provide a physical copy of the Vaccine card or negative covid test and then complete a contactless temperature check and wellness questionnaire prior to entering our venue. Also, we still require all patrons to wear a mask or face covering when entering and moving throughout public areas.  You're welcome to take off your mask at your table. 

Our commitment to providing a space for you to safely and comfortably indulge your senses has never wavered, but our approach to doing so has certainly evolved. Below, you’ll find a summary of what to expect when returning to City Winery and what we expect from you.  This is something new for us, so we ask for patience and kindness.

  • Contactless temperature check & wellness questions (including our own City Winery staff)
  • Tables spaced 6 feet apart
  • All City Winery employees wearing masks
  • Tables and chairs sanitized after each guest
  • Ongoing and frequent sanitization of door handles, tables, chairs, restrooms, surfaces... you name it! 
  • Contactless ordering & payment via your mobile device
  • If we find ourselves at capacity, we'll text you when seating is available. Until you receive this text, please take a walk around or wait in your car.

  • If you are feeling under the weather, please stay home 
  • Practice social distancing and stand 6 feet apart from other guests
  • Wear masks upon arrival and when finished eating & drinking
  • Maintain regular handwashing & hand sanitizing

  • We have made additional adjustments to our modification and refund policies to provide you with maximum flexibility while attendance remains restricted in many parts of the country.
  • We have loosened our no refunds policy to allow any guest who cannot attend the rescheduled date or isn't comfortable in attending a public gathering to return their tickets for store credit to use anytime in the future (without expiration), or a Food & Beverage Gift Card plus an additional 20% bonus good for dine in or takeout for food and wine purchases.
  • We will also be updating our seating map to adhere to local health officials guidelines regarding social distance requirements. Please note that exact seat numbers might change due to removal or addition of inventory based on any updates regarding the occupancy limits in each market. We will do our best to keep your section as close to the original selection
